I love the first video of Dash, and the neighbor's ankle biter, running up and down the fence. All the videos are fun to watch, it looks like Dash was a really good match for your family. Thank you for taking him in and posting videos!

The videos are very entertaining -- I love the mindless running back and forth and back and forth. We also used a food cube for our doxie to make her not eat her food so quickly. Kept her very entertained. Dash is just a gorgeous dog, and he has a beautiful place to play and a wonderful family. So glad to see this happy ending.

I'm really upset right now but Dash may need to find another home...I don't want to get too much into detail but I don't think my husband is ready for another Doberman.

I want to send out an update and another plea for help for Kilo. Prince Pride is not going to be able to keep Kilo/Dash. Diane's husband is not ready to accept another dog into his heart. I will be taking Kilo into my home temporarily while we attempt to find him his absolute forever home. If anyone knows someone who might be interested in him, I am going to request that potential adopters submit an application for approval, and suggest that whoever is lucky enough to bring Kilo into their home make a donation to SCD on his behalf. I will post additional details as they become known to me. Thanks for caring, and I am open to suggestions on the best way to find Kilo new playmates and a human family to love him.

You could write whatever you like about him, especially "to an approved home only".

I'm so sorry to hear this. It is very kind of you to offer your home to him temporarily Michelle. He's such a good boy, it seems. I agree with Annie that being good with cats is a big plus. So is being cropped. I do hope he is able to find a forever home.

Arda, I have no idea what just happened here! LOL! A mastiff rescue volunteer contacted me about a dobe in need.....my original email to this person said I could either direct them to a dobe rescue (you) or, I said we might be able to help (if you were full or something). Then I get the email below and clearly, there is more to the story. This is a dog recently placed by you. I'm guessing you have a contract and you would want to know about this. When I offered to help, I had no idea he was a dog already placed by you and I'm sure you don't want us steppin' in! Lol. I don't know the dogs name....all I know at this point is "Natalie" surrendered him to you and you subsequently placed him fairly recently. Anyway, read the below emails and let me know if there is anything you want me to do! I just called the author of this email and told her they must contact you per the adoption contract. Sorry for the confusion!

The day I had my insurance information faxed over to Jan, the lady, Natalie, that was helping me began to tell me about her Doberman situation. I hadn't even gotten the words "I am volunteering for a mastiff rescue organiza-" and she began to ask me if I could help her. She had a male doberman, 7-8 years old, potty trained. She had surrendered him to 2nd Chance Dobermans. The family who then adopted him in May had recently contacted her directly and said they no longer wanted him and wanted Natalie to take him back. The dobie was not bonding with the husband. She then found out that the family who had adopted her doberman had just lost their dog in Jan. They had had their dog since a puppy. The husband admitted that he wanted a replacement, a dog just like theirs, and the new dobie wasn't bonding with him, and he wasn't willing to work it out. (that is what Natalie, the original owner told me) The doberman is currently with Natalie's friend who is a volunteer for 2nd Chance Dobermans. She does fostering and has other dobies at her home. I asked her if it would be ok to give her some information on a different rescue, just to see if they could also do something to help the situation. Being that the foster is her friend who works for 2nd Chance, I thought I would introduce Voiceless gently, and simply as another option to consider

I am going to email Natalie and let her know that I heard from you. I will also give her your contact information. I will then copy you on the email so that you have her email. I do hope that she agrees to let Voiceless take this boy. He's been in limbo long enough, he could use some help keeping the focus of this situation on him and what is best for him.

Poor Kilo....How can anyone expect another dog to act like their previous one? Each has a personality of their own. Sounds like he didn't even give him a chance to show his true personality.

pray he gets a forever home. Does sound like
crossed wires.

You can never replace the one you lose, the new one
makes their own space their own place in your heart,
they are all different in traits and personality, they
are their own should I say person. That's what
they become in your family.
