I'm dying. Tuesday my husband found Rueger dead in his
Crate. He had DCM. darn disease I'm so lost the house is so quiet
We have Tango she's depressed I'm depressed I'm just falling apart
Rueger came from SCD 7 years or so ago. Skinny little kid Arda pulled from a pound
I had him neutered fattened him up. He was an absolute doll. All he wanted was to be loved or touched. He would stand forever at your side if you just put a hand on him. Everyone loved Rueger. He is sadly missed by many. 2 weeks ago we tried to go away for a weekend. They made it one night at the Cljnic kennel. Rueger tried to bloat so we rushed home. 2 nights if walking and farting and he was better! I knew I never should have left them. He did really well since then. Except his heart was getting weaker I could tell. He lived 19 months after diagnosis of DCM. He lives through alot of crap including bladder stones that threatened to take him a few months back.
Oh god I know I'm rambling I'm just so heartbroken

Oh Sharen.  I'm so sorry.  So truely sorry.  You gave him the only life he really ever had.  He'd never would have had those years if it wasn't for you.  You and only you gave him life.

Sharen, I'm so very sorry to hear this.  Your pain comes through in your post.  It's that horrible, devastating pain that most of us know all too well.  I wish there was something I could say or do to make this better for you, but I know there isn't.  Please know that my thoughts are with you. You gave Rueger seven years of unconditional love.  He knew he was loved and he loved you back.  I hope time will ease your pain a bit and you will be able to remember all of the happy times with him.  Run free at the Bridge, Rueger..........

I'm so sorry.

As Arda said it was you who gave Rueger a wonderful life.

I know the loss is unbearable!

In sympathy...
