Midland Co. is switching over to injection for their euthanasia. I am so glad, it's about time! Midland has three times the money Saginaw or Bay City has, but yet they still gassed. Not anymore. This is where Bailey came from.

I'm appalled! The use of CO is basically suffocation, which is not pleasant. Witnessing the peaceful demise of several of my pets, I know it has not been uncomfortable in the least. If we must pronounce a death sentence on animals because of our irresponsibility as a species, it is our responsibility as a species to make sure that we don't torture them in the process. The comment that the pro vote doesn't indicate that they were doing anything wrong in the past is just sad. Since 95% of the whole state has already changed over, why not say, "This is a a step in the right direction, we're going forward, doing the right thing."

This is the best news I've heard in a long while!!!!
For a wealthy county like Midland to use an inhumane cruel method of euthanasia
is inexcusable.
Gratiot county to the south of me still uses the barbaric practice ... It makes me SICK to think of the torture those poor animals
go through.

Years ago I was going to donate time to a shelter for animal abuse
they showed me pictures and slides to make sure I could handle
it. Well I came home sick to my stomach I knew I
could not handle it, I know they need help but I

Since I live in Midland County, I was embarrassed when I found out they still used gas. I signed the petition. Glad most of the commissioners were enlightened.
