Duffy made a run for the boarder with Scott Newman and his dog Sophie today. Scott and Sophie came to SCD from Chatham, ON. Sophie, a 2-year-old black Lab, has a playmate for life and will be responsible for keeping Duffy in line.

Congratulations to the Newman Family on your newest family member! We look forward to updates and pictures.

AND she was doing a pretty good job of putting him in his place. By the time they got home, I'm sure she had the rules down pat with him. Thanks Scott.

How very cool!! Congratulations Scott, Sophie & Duffy!

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated ... I hold that, the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man.

I can't believe how much Duffy is a spitting image of Cocoa, only taller! Not only does he look like her, he acts and plays like her too. I fell in love with him today. :(

Duffy didn't have to bribe his way into Sophie's heart. :ermm: She welcomed him with open paws. ;)

Congratulations and best wishes to the Newman Family!

Duff actually has an entire family to look after and entertain now. He'll have 2 kids to keep him busy....or the other way around :( . Good luck with Duffy and please keep us posted on his progress becoming a Canuck, eh? Pictures make our day....hint, hint.

Hi all, just a quick update on Duffy.
Duffy has settled in better than we ever could've expected.
He's a very playful pup and loves playing with Sophie our black Lab.
And when Sophie has had enough she lets him know.
He is so good to walk and doesn't bother much with other dogs passing by.
He is excellent in his crate and as far as that goes has not had an accident in the house other than right after we brought him home and was switched onto another food. I don't count that because as I said it was just the transition phase onto a different food( Not his fault)!!
He's excellent with our 2 children and all he ever wants to do is give lots of kisses.
We've already had him into the vets. for a once over and the vet thought he looked really good. The only thing she said was that he could afford to put a little weight on, and with how much he eats shouldn't take too long!
And yes we just filed for dual citizenship. HA HA HA
Well here are a few pictures just taken.
Enjoy!!!!

Scott
