I'm gonna do this today!
We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare, and the love we can spare. And, in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

Do you have to live in Michigan?

Nope! As long as you live where there is a Kroger.

It matters to the one you save.

I registered my card this evening. What a great way to help the Dobes! Thanks, Joaquin and Sarah!!

What in the world are you doing coming in the back door?  I don't know if I have ever seen you come in the back door.  I am usually with you.  How did you get to the store without me?  How did you get out of the house unnoticed?  What is going on here?????  Are we off our schedule?????    AAAAAAAAAaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!??????

So we thought of the situation where you are telling your friends and family about the Kroger Plus Reward Program but couldn't quite easily tell them how to join up. So we created this sheet of cut-outs that you can print and cut out to hand out all the important info needed to register your Kroger Plus card with SCD in this nice small hand out.

Keep them in your purse or wallet and next time you want to easily tell someone how they can help the Dobermans in need, just hand them one and they can start contributing too.

Unfortunately no. Below is a list of purchases that DON"T count toward the donation program:

Supporters can earn rewards on almost everything, every time they shop! However,
there are specific purchases that cannot be included: alcohol, tobacco, government assisted
pharmacy expenses, postage stamps, Kroger giftcards and Green Dot Prepaid Cards, gift
certificates, bottle deposits, lottery and promotional tickets, fuel, fuel center purchases, office
services and Sales Tax. Eligible pharmacy purchases include out of pocket co pays for non
government assisted pharmacy programs.

There was a note at the bottom of our receipt yesterday that said if we wanted to continue to support Second Chance dobes we had to re-enroll for 2013-2014. Just a heads up in case someone is not paying attention, like me! :P

Hmmm, I'll check it out, it may just be as simple as logging into your Kroger Plus online account and selecting SCD again. I'll post what I find out, thanks.

Yup, I just checked it out. You have to re-enroll every year. You go to the website here: http://www.kroger.co...ty_rewards.aspx and sign in. Then type in "Second Chance Dobes" for your charity and then our name and address will show up. You need to click on the circle next to our name and then click the "Save" button. Every one is going to need to do this, it will expire on the date you signed up last year.

It matters to the one you save.

I'm bumping this thread as this is April, the month you always have to re-enroll to have your Kroger Community Rewards go to Second Chance Dobes.  It's easy to do, but easy to forget to re-enroll.  You don't get a reminder from Kroger, so you just have to remember to do it in April of every year.

Fortunately, I was recently reminded by someone outside of this organization, but wanted to post here to remind those of us who are donating to SCD!!!

It's April 2016, that time of year to re-enroll with your Kroger Plus Card for Community Rewards.  You can designate Second Chance Dobes as your organization, and Kroger will donate a small percentage of what you purchase to them.  It doesn't cost you anything!  But you do have to go online to enroll, and you have to re-enroll every April.  You will not get a notification from Kroger.

The Kroger Plus Card is a great deal!  It costs you nothing, but you get special sale prices on many items in the store, you accumulate fuel points that you can use for a gas discount (I'm getting 40 cents a gallon off on my next fill-up!), plus Second Chance is getting a donation from Kroger.

Great deal all around!  :)
