I can't take credit for it - The cookie sheet is a Stanley Coren trick. Let me know if it works with yours!

Crapping on carpet drives me bananas.

Oh man...I tell you what...this has been a constant issue at our house lately.

I do like the cookie sheet idea. I've used the mouse traps before and they work great, until you get your fingers caught once or twice in the middle of the night.
(Besides, my cookie sheets don't get used anyway...lol)

I think Kiah and Belle would get along great!! They have some of the same traits. I can picture Belle doing all of these things when she was younger!! I don't think I would ever want to be in the same house with the two of them!! Especially not my house!

I tell you what.....one minute I love her so much it brings tears to my eyes and the next minute I am ready to ship her oversea's. We bought a treadmill and Kiah will begin 'walking' tonight. I'm hoping this makes a big difference and helps her to use up some energy.

I'd be interested to hear how you do. I tried putting Tiki on the treadmill once and all she would do is sit down so the treadmill moved her right off on to the floor. Once she hit the floor, that was it for her. No more. She turned into a spazz with legs flailing in all directions and she was shaped like a cashew with with toothpicks sticking out of it.

Peanut, you barked at your Dad??

It's me, Peanut, don't you recognize me?

What in the world are you doing coming in the back door?  I don't know if I have ever seen you come in the back door.  I am usually with you.  How did you get to the store without me?  How did you get out of the house unnoticed?  What is going on here?????  Are we off our schedule?????    AAAAAAAAAaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!??????

*oof*

I protest.

  Whadja bring me?

Look I found a 19 squeaker toy for 75% off!

Ok- so Kiah did not run the 3 miles I had planned for her. Instead there were lots of treats and rewards just for standing on the stupid treadmill. She did walk a few steps at a time, but it was so slow she would get off. I just didn't want to scare her, then I know she would never get back on it. We will try again tonight. It may work better with my husband helping.

It's going to take alot of time and patience with the treadmill. I have tried getting Macy and Prince on there a couple of times and now Prince won't even go into the basement w/out shaking and whining b/c he is scared of the evil treadmill!! Macy almost has it down but is not food motivated so it has been harder to get her to go on it.

Treadmill update!!

I was running last night and Kiah kept trying to get on the treadmill with me, so I stopped it, got her leash, put her on and sat her. Then I turned it on the 1st speed setting and told her to heal. She was walking next to me, so then I stood on the side and kept telling her to heal. SHE DID AWESOME!!! I eventually moved it up to the second speed setting and she went about 3/4 of a mile. I stopped it and took her off because I don't want to push my luck. I couldn't believe it. I can't wait to try again tonight. It would be soooo good for her to be able to run off some of her energy. It's so cold outside, she doesn't want to stay out any longer than she really has to. Keep your fingers crossed.

Good for you and Kiah!! :flower: :) I tried this with Mia with less than desireable results. :flower: She'll at least approach the treadmill now. :D
