With a heavy heart and a lot of discussion, Arda and all of us that help with the rescue have chosen to close this site down

due to no one using it anymore. It was the go to site for years with everyone. Than Facebook started and with all the new phones

we lost most of everyone that was on this site. Sorry for the few of us that are left who still use the site to see what was happening.

Hopefully you understand our decision to close this page down.

Thanks for all the great years we had!

No need for a heavy heart.  This site is still searched regularly, whether it be for help or just reading stories and checking out the pictures. It is Arda's legacy.  I can't stand by and let it go anywhere.  From here forward I will take on financial responsibility of the site.

We have already removed the store, sponsor and adoption application so all that is left is the Home page and the actual forums.

Let me know what info you want changed on the Home page and I'll make it happen.

This way Arda, when she has Internet, can always look up past adoptions and memories.

Oh my God Joaguin, that is so beautiful.  Thank you for caring.  Just been a really tough couple of weeks down here.  Part for the computer was only $40 and she is up and running again.  That was a plus.  Brother in VA hospial.  That's a negative.  Bertha, my 40 year old fridge died.  Negative.  Not suppose to drive because of my eyes.  That's a neg.  Got tangled up in a branch of a tree and pulled off Johnie.  Sprained the leg really good.  Neg.  Have you ever tried to find a sitter for 15 Dobes so you can catch a ride to VA.  Neg.  Still fighting with electric company over my trees.  BIG neg.  And did I mention, I'm 77 years old.  Are these really my Golden Years.  Please let me go back to my hellion years and you can have my "gold".  And a big prayer for my brother.  Just having an "Arda Pitty Party".

Can barely walk today.  Jill came out for policing detail.  And I cut the branches off that darn tree so that doesn't happen again.  Brother is in ICU at the VA.  If you know how to pray, PLEASE do.  And if you don't know how, try anyway.  He's all I have left and 15 unwanted Heathens.

My brother, John, was a "Tunnel Rat" in Vietnam.  Seems like just yesterday.  Time has come and gone and the visible scares of that war have faded.  He raised a family of great guys.  Was the hardest working man I have ever know.  Oh yes, we fight like cats and dogs.  Just like brothers and sisters do.  But he never went anywhere that he didn't bring me a toy or something to say he was thinking about me.  When my life fell apart, he was always there.  Helped me pick up the pieces and move on.  Now he is a little broken and I'm lost.  I want to hug him but he has too much equipment to touch him.  I want to cry but I don't want him to see me.  All I can do is stress out and pray like the devil is chasing me.  My home is FULL to the rime of My brother.  Rocking horses, carousel horses, dolls and doll houses and so much more.  He is every where.  And I cry and pray.  He is my life.

I certainly will.  Thank you.  Please keep praying.  I went out to mow to get my mind off of all.  And darn!  There in the cemetery is the bronze statue of a Whippet he gave me for Xmas one year.  He thought it looked like so many of the dogs that came in here.  John is terrified of Dobes.  I bawled so hard I had to come in from mowing.  He is just every where here.  The kennel started out as a 8X8 she shed for me.  All glass windows.  By the time the fights were all over and it was up, it was a 36 X 24 dog kennel.   He's just every where here.

I'm just getting caught up here.  I haven't checked the board in a while due to a big storm, power failure, massive clean-up, etc.  It seems like a lot has been going on in the last couple of weeks.  I was sad to read that the forum would be shutting down, but then happy to hear that Joaquin was going to keep it open.  Thank you so much.  There are still some of us who do not do Facebook or other so-called social media.  I'm one of them.  I know forums like this are losing popularity, and sadly, if they were all to shut down, a few of us would just drop by the wayside and be totally out of touch.

Sending prayers for your brother, Arda, and for you, too.

I'm so sorry to read this. Big prayers for your brother, Arda. Nothing's impossible with our God & that's not me making a trite statement, I know from experience. I don't check here as much anymore, either, but thank you, Joaquin, for keeping it available. Now that I know some are still posting I'll check back more often.

I appreciate the offer but no help here needed, we are happy to keep the site going.  Feel free to help Arda directly or just continue helping Dobes in need.
