The pills are working for the most part. We still have a few 'bad' days here and there but for the most part we have his problem under control.

What in the world are you doing coming in the back door?  I don't know if I have ever seen you come in the back door.  I am usually with you.  How did you get to the store without me?  How did you get out of the house unnoticed?  What is going on here?????  Are we off our schedule?????    AAAAAAAAAaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!??????

I protest.

A few months ago Corey and I went and got Ruckus his own blanket since Gracie had her own. Gracie wouldn't sleep without a blanket even in the summer. It took Ruck some time to warm up to the idea of a blanket but tonight when it was bed time he didn't get covered up or tucked in so he started whining. Corey had to get up and grab his blanket and get him all covered up, once he was covered up Ruckus went right to sleep. I have a feeling he might be getting a little on the spoiled side.

I will also try to get some pictures when Corey isn't sleeping of Ruckus and his blanket. :)

Just an update.

I took Ruckus into the vet a couple of weeks ago to have his ears checked. He seems to try and scratch them an awful lot or he shakes his head frequently. The vet had to sedate him because Ruckus was having no part of the vet sticking a scope in his ears. His ears looked perfect and they couldn't find anything wrong. They said that he looks great and is happy and healthy.

He is still full of energy but he takes frequent "breaks". He will play for a little bit then take a quick 10 minute nap and be up and going again, but later at night he passes right out.

Haven't posted in a while. But Ruckus is really settled in and has really taken to Katie. Had him to the vet last week for a check up and is weighing in at 98#.

He still plays a bit rough at times with poor Thumper, but Thumps usually handles himself quite well.

Anyway, attached a few images. One from last winter when he stole my chair...hmm

He looks like a happy and contented dog, very well-loved and taken care of by his family.  Thanks for a wonderful update!

98 pounds?  He's as big as Chaos.  What a guy.  Thanks for remembering us.

Just a quick update on our baby boy. Still at 98 pounds as he was recently in to see the doc for an infection between his toes. All cleared up now and doc said his bones are super strong.

A couple new additions to make a house a home again after losing my baby Thumper. We now have Storm which is from the same bloodline as Thumper. ( yes I did go back to Thumpers breeder after his passing....it hurt just too much and I needed something). We also have Wilhelmina (Mina) and she is about 2 now and super high energy. After losing Gracie, Katie and I absolutely loved Ruckus, but then we found ourselves needing another black one back into the pack. Mina came from a rescue down south of Grand Rapids (another story and will now always stick with second chance for reasons only spoken in private confidence).

Katies long time cat passed earlier this year and she rescued a black kitten. Named the cat Loki ( full of mischief) and clearly has no issues snuggling up with Ruckus.

Thanks all and will try to stay in better touch.

Corey

Those pictures are too great.  My heart goes out to the cat.  Poor baby.  What a place to be stuck.  Bet the cat would not last long if that was Chaos'.

That's a beautiful family you have there.  Wow, Loki, you are a very courageous kitty to lay THERE! :D
