"Why do you have 2 ribbons?" Arda asked. "Because one is for you," he told her.

Just so everyone knows, Arda wouldn't even let me carry the bag this ribbon was in, let alone let it out of her sight.

My pictures of Dax in the ring didn't turn out - I was not supposed to use a flash (because the flash could distract the dog) and they just didn't work. Hopefully Pat will have some.

It was great, although it was a small showing. I had a blast. I want to compete, but I am no good as a trainer(I had my horses trained, and always took lesson after lesson to keep them that way  )...so it looks like the sidelines for me. Maybe someday...

This showing and the whole show was so little compared to Kentucky. Don't misunderstand me. It was great but it would be hard pressed to compete with Kentucky. I don't think they advertised out there cus the crowds were not there. The vendors weren't there. Most of the dogs were sluggish and I have to think it was the altitude cus too many showed it. Did not have the loud music and screaming and clapping. Kentucky was the best. BUT the Colorado scenery and clean air were a treasure. Dax and Pat are music to my heart. What a team. The one ramp was set up next to a wall and the doorjam for the auditorium doors jutted out about six inches. So they came up the ramp and the doorjam was sticking out and the ram was against it. The bottom of the door was polished stainless. I walked over and bent down and stood up to see what she saw. The door reflected all the light and made it almost look like water and the door jam. Probably nothing any of them ever saw before. Three did not make it up and across. Just an optical illusion. I can't believe Pat got me a ribbon. I just can't believe it. Yes, it will be framed. Oh yes it will. We even had a great location to the show and more excitement. Next Chapter "The Motel". coming after my napper.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I made it home safe today with Dax & Ryka. It was great to see Arda again and to finally meet Heather. Dax is a WONDERFUL girl and always seems to make me look good. Thanks for everyones support and kind words. I LOVE THE PICTURES and I will share mine once they are developed. Arda kept telling me I was shopping to much, but you should see the stuff she bought. They probally needed a cargo plane to get the stuff back to Michigan. Hope you had a GREAT and well deserved vacation Arda... Your the BEST.

It was the rocks that killed us. Heather picked up rocks from everywhere for her daughter. It was quite a load in her luggage. The bag, at the pick up terminal, had a tag on it that read HEAVY BAGGAGE. She had to take 5 pounds out at the air port. But she kept the rocks. And what was the kid happiest with.....THE ROCKS. At least Pat had his own vehicle to get home in. He was buying up the place.
