So I am sitting here remembering when these little girls were born almost 5 yrs ago....now they are in kindergarten ^_^ . You all rallied around me and got me through a tough few weeks there when they were in the hospital as babies and look at them now. Chyna and Brinks are getting sick of me talking to them about it....but they still listen ^_^ .

I made little necklaces with their names on them so the teacher could just look at them and not have to constantly ask "which one are you?" Haha....

I still remember meeting you at the first reunion when you were pregnant with them. How can they already be old enough for school? Wow time goes so fast. They're adorable and looking so grown up.

I'm glad it's them starting school and not me. I still remember that scary first day alone on the bus and in school. Congrats on the milestone.

This was the day before...."orientation day"...where the parents can come in with them to meet the teacher and explore the classroom. Times were sure different when we were kids weren't they J? I don't ever remember my mom coming to school for anything. And although it wasn't up-hill both ways, I did walk to school and home for lunch and back. Never saw a bus until I was in high school. It was scary now that I think about it!!

Nice picture of 2 pretty girls! :)

My Mom took me to kindergarten orientation, but.....the parents brought the kids, and then left. Mine was the last Mom back to the classroom, I was sure she wasn't coming back. :( My first day on the bus was a nightmare, back then the buses were filled beyond capacity, kids stood in the aisles because there weren't enough seats. All ages rode the same bus. Our house was the last stop before school, so I got onto the bus and there was no seat. I had to stand in the aisle while everyone stared at me. I wanted to die right there on the spot. Thankfully my kindergarten teacher was a peach, and I loved school...I just had to survive that horrible bus ride to get there. :ninja:

Very different times indeed. I have never heard of "orientation". There were several grade schools, junior highs and high schools in my city. Kindergarten through 5th grade all rode the same buses. My mom left for work before we got picked up and my sister rode an earlier bus. Oh and I was the new kid. Did I mention my name was "Joaquin". Yes school was a rite of passage that I survived.

I started school when I was 4, I had to be with my big brother who is 5yrs older.
I was soooo scared I would find him and sit on his lap, did the same in
sunday school. He was so humiliated...LOL He was my PROTECTOR and he was
all through school...HA still is. All through school "man don't mess with his sister"
