Jeannie went into heart failure today and crossed over to the bridge late this afternoon. She was 15 years old and the light of Arda's life. Arda told me to post because she just couldn't. I barely can.
The first time I met Jean she made a running leap into my lap from about 10 feet away, and had my face covered with Dober kisses before I even knew what hit me. Then she was off and running again, and I said to Arda "What was that?!" Arda said "That is a Jeannie." If you were ever in the house you were probably licked by Jean. Run fast and far, gorgeous licky-licky dog. You will be missed here.

Arda;I wish we all could share the burden of pain you experience all to often,but it's obvious that it's the price for saving hundreds of wonderful dogs from being put down or worse.I never met Jeanne but I know you gave her heaven here on earth and I know she is looking down on you with love today and someday will give you the well deserved thanks I give you now.Thank you so much on behalf of Jeanne,Icy,Shiloh and all the others!!;Don

up from the oakland shelter as she had been turned in by a boarding
kennel where her owners had boarded her & never came back for her..
She was so beautiful, A bred/born show dog!! She had all the right moves
& attitude to boot!! Arda & I wished we could have found out who her breeder
was.. She soon was one of the "Top dogs at the Swamp" !
Many people were
dazzled by her, & many wanted to make her theirs.. But she was queen of SCD
& ruled for many years..
Run free "Jeannie Girl" !!! You were in a CLASS all your own!!

Oh Arda, I am so sorry for the pain you are going through now. I know how much Jeanne meant to you. It's like the end of an era.

Arda, I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope you can take some comfort in knowing that she had such a good, long life because you chose to take her into your own life. The day you met her was her lucky day (and I'm sure the other way around, too). She is free and happy at the Bridge....
