the info/score sheets setup ahead of time for WAE. Plus geting all the
equipment together before hand.. It is always a pretty fun day tho.
Ive always loved doing the WAE tests, to see how the dogs do going
thru the course Everyone claps/hoots & says congrats to those that
pass & say practice/better luck next yr.... Plus to be with so
many dobe people, its like a big party!!! But takes me a day to recoup
from it.. And when we take the dogs down to the lake to play in the water,
its a fun site, so many other people in the park are in Awww of them!

I love veggie burgers and YES, Puffers is giving both the CGC and WAE a shot! My only concern is the boogie man. I sure hope she isn't spooked by it.I thought you might be interested in a veggie burger!!

they are also looking for how quickly you can get control of your dog back too... I think you have about 30 seconds to get them to settle down... that goes for each of the elements (gunshot, umbrella, etc)

they have it measured to the "inch"... you can see the line the best in the third picture... but yeah you have to make sure you hold on tight!!!
this guy is a good guy to do this!!! he hides behind the corner of the car until they get to the point and then he "appears"...

there, or bring a small one.
For the Aggressor, the guy they had last yr, was booked by us, but we
havent heard from him so we have another man who will come & do it.
The dog wears a choke chain & a wide leather/fabric collar & 6ft leather
lead, you loop your hand thru handle & brace yourself, so if they go out
& pull you can hang on. Wear good tread shoes to test in & change to
whatever after..
The dogs need to stand in front on you, bark, growl ect & let the tester
know that they are warning the aggresser not to come closer. The course
is marked on where to stop. John walks the people w/out dogs thru the
course before testing starts, so you can see & ask questions. The one
thing Ive learned over years is NOT to use dogs name to encourage
them, say watch em, get im, or on can/umbrella say its ok, lets go see...
When you want them to come back to you & calm down then use their
name & say **** its ok now, you are fine, something to let them know
they can be good/ok again..
In all the years the 2 clubs here have tested, dogs havent got lose...The
aggresser does wear a schuthund sleeve that they can let the dog bite
if it would happen till owner can grab them.

PS. great pics Joni!!!

They say if the dog is tested 3 times & doesnt pass, not to
try again as they wont.
When there are tests close together, like last weekend was one
in wisconsin & this weekend is one in canfield ohio, the dogs entered
there, if they dont pass cant enter ours the 12th, as its to close a time.
They want at least 30 days between tests but should be alot longer, so
dogs dont remember it.
