It is with a very heavy heart :wub: that we unexpectedly lost our Darling Darla :) (La La for short) :icon12: Velcro Love Bug :wub: she collapsed after doing her favorite thing's a car ride,walking and wading in the water. Off to our vet we went only a 10 minute ride from where were at the local lake but it was too late.We still can't believe that she is no longer here with us. As first time adopter's were & are sooooo BLESSED to have Darla in our lives. Thank you Arda & staff for rescuing her and letting us give her second chance with us she was the Queen :) here as we told her everyday that this is your house full of LOVE. :flower: This is all for now we (my mom & I ) are having a difficult time typing threw the tears. :cry:

I am so sorry to read this news on Darling Darla, at a loss for words, and know how sad you and your mom must be. So glad she had the love from both of you for the short time she was with you. I am so glad I had the chance to meet her, she was a very special girl. Hugs to both of you. :) :wub: :)

I am stunned and so sad for you and your Mom. It seems like just yesterday that Darling Darla became part of your family. They are with us for such a short time, and leave such a void when they are gone. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. She will be with you, in your heart, forever. Thank you for giving her such a wonderful home, with such love and understanding. My heart goes out to you. Run free Darling Darla. Run free.

Oh my God. I'm so sorry. So very sorry. What did the vet say. Was it her heart? I guess it never matters why but that they are gone. Thank you for giving her a personal home and love.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I'm just stunned. :wub: Thank you so much for giving her the best retirement home she could have. You two were truly a blessing for her. She was such a loving girl, and I am so sorry for the pain. I lost my first girl to her heart in a similar way and the shock is very hard. She will be remembered with love by all of us. Run free at the bridge sweet, sweet Darla....

I am shocked :wub: . I am so sad for you both. I am however so glad that Darling Darla had you to show her what love was before her passing. She was blessed to find you. From what you say, it sounds like cardiomyopathy, which is very prevalent in dobes. My Raven literally dropped dead in my yard with her ball still in her mouth. I am so sorry....

I'm really very sorry for your loss............a lot of us have experienced this same thing.......I lost my first Dobe just like this.......she collasped right in front of me....when I went to talk to the vet the next day, she said it had to have been her heart when they go that quickly.....unfortunately, sudden death can be the first and only symptom of cardio.

I am very sad for your loss.....I hope you find peace in knowing that you gave this sweet girl a loving home and the life she deserved.
The embedded collars in his neck when we got him and he goes back and extends the gentle paw to the human race. One heck of a dog.

What a shock to read this about your Darling Darla. I am soooo...... so......... sorry my heart goes out to you.
It never is easy losing them that fast. Just remember you gave her the best life she had ever had. She is very thankful

I was so sorry to read this. Our time with our beloved pets is never long enough but you were really cheated. Take comfort knowing that she knew she was loved & that her last days were good ones.

im so very sorry to hear of your loss.... its never ever easy and espeically when they go so quickly. Im sure it was a heart problem... ive lost 2 dobes to DCM... its a horrible disease... again, im so sorry to hear of your pets passing..

Hello SCD Family,It will be one week tomarrow Tuesday since :) Darla( La La) :wub: left us. We would like to thank all of you for the support, :hug: kind thoughts :wub: ,stories and prayers. :flower: We are taking it one day at a time some, days good,some days bad.
We decieded to have Darla :) cremated and now she is still here with us here in her forever home. :cry: :Rose: It just does'nt seem the same household here without our one true love, :( four legged furkid Darla. :icon12: We sure do miss our La La. :wub:

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, “ when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.” :wub:
