Congratulations!  Hoping for more pics and updates as Keiko begins this next chapter of her life!  :)

(I'm gathering from the title of the thread that she was being called Patty but her new name is Keiko.  Let me know if I've got that wrong.)

Currently part of my treasured family and helping to make life fun and busy:

Hunter, the chocolate Labradeagle (or Beaglador)

Terra, the tall, gorgeous red Doberwoman

Thanks to all of you for making us a whole family again. I slept soooo good last night it was almost shameful. Harold the cat is in a snit and Keiko is still trying to figure out what that meowing thing is. She doesn't chase him at all. Harold stands on top of Keiko's crate and tries to give her mean looks. Keiko mostly ignores Harold...lol Keiko has a mellow vibe that everyone feels. She is just chock full of love and Dober hugs. And keep an eye out for a partner for my girl. 2 is my magic number now....lolol

Yes, Keiko is the name we chose before we picked her up, it means "adored, blessed" in Japanese. I like the meaning and wanted a different name from other dogs. She's such a sweet girl. I love her so much already..!!

Thanks for the update and pictures. She looks like one very happy girl.

She must of been all tired out from all the excitement, the way she is fast asleep in the car.

Glad you had a good night sleep with your new baby girl.

Congrats!!!!!

But what about me...........I miss that wiggle butt and smile.  And the hair is coming back, it just takes time.

Love the pictures and glad everything is going good so far.  Sounds about how our intro to the kitty went as well, the kitty was more put out than anyone.  Congrats!

Heck yeah..! Harold the cat was really in a tizzy with Keiko. Right now Harold is on the dining room table giving the stink eye to Keiko, and Keiko is like come on...lets play ! When Keiko is laying down they sniff each other and touch noses. Harold forgot himself yesterday and was rubbing his head on Keiko's face. In time they will be snuggling together and playing chase. This girl is so gentle and sweet. I love her wiggle-butt and play bow when I come home from work, or wake up in the morning. She curls around me ike a feline and hugs with her whole body. She doesn't quite know how to play with her toys and the chew bones don't really interest her. She will learn in time..lol. I can't wait until the snow melts enough so we can play outside. It's up to her shoulders in alot of spots but she still likes to try and run through it as I sort of "run" and chase her. It's up to my knees. She loves the snow, and snowballs. She prances around the house like a Queenly puppy. I of course broke my own "no dogs on my bed or couch " rule. There's nothing like having a big sloppy wet kiss on the face when I turn over in my sleep. She puts her head on the pillow with mine. lol My sister told me she howls for a little while after I go to work, poor baby. She's good with the kids but I keep a close eye with the little ones. She likes people and is friendly but will growl if they get too close to me. She doesn't like loud people who approach too quickly. It's a process and she's a smart girl who fits right in with all of us. She knows we all love her little wiggly self. She doesn't counter surf or get into stuff...yet. I'm sure Harold will clue her in on the goodies to be found , that cat gets into EVERYTHING. He would get into the cupboard and get the bread out onto the counter and he and Nova would have a snack. Harold is a bad boy and a good mouser. Keiko is still trying to figure out the ferrets. Their crate was the first thing she ran to when we got home. And Yoshiro, my big boy ferret immediately poofed her with ferrety skunk-like funk. He is fully intact and ferrets can spray like skunks...it doesn't stick to you like skunk funk, and goes away in  a little while. Yoshi decided the giant nose thing was okay and hasn't sprayed since then. lolol. I know...my house is like a crazy zoo. I love every minute of it. There is nothing more comforting than the sound of Keiko prancing through the house. I am soooo blessed!!!

She needs a platform to get out of the snow.  God, she really looks happy.

She looks great! I love the pics with Harold. My Polly cat will lay on surfaces above the dogs and smack at them too. It cracks me up to see a little 8 lb. fluff ball bossing the Dobes. :D
