Our little Shannon went home with the Cooney Family a short time ago. They renamed her Kita and loved her with all their hearts. Shannon/Kita was a sister to Angel, Rusty, Lexi, Deisel, and Riley. Shannon/Kita passed away yesterday early in the morning. She most likely passed away from a heart condition. Shannon/Kita's play a little and then long periods of rest led us to believe her heart just could not keep up with her. Shannon/Kita was only six months old but, blessed us all. Such a sweet, loving baby. We'll miss her and our hearts are broken.

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please know that you made Kia's life complete and so worth living even if it was for only 6 months because of the love and care you gave her. Thank-you for all that you gave her. mary

Dogs don't know about beginnings, and they don't speculate on matters that occurred before their time.
Dogs also don't know-or at least don't accept-the concept of death.
With no concept of beginnings or endings, dogs probably don't know that for people, having a dog as a life companion provides a streak of light between two eternities of darkness

This is awfully sad news. I'm so very sorry for your loss and I'm sure every person here who has a puppy that was born at the same time is feeling it deeply in particular.

Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

What in the world are you doing coming in the back door?  I don't know if I have ever seen you come in the back door.  I am usually with you.  How did you get to the store without me?  How did you get out of the house unnoticed?  What is going on here?????  Are we off our schedule?????    AAAAAAAAAaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!??????

My condolences to the Cooney family. Kita's life with you was that of love, affection, trust and wonder. She could not have had a better "pack" to bond with and love. Though her time with you was short, she will live on in your hearts forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Such a sweet baby.

What a tragedy. My heart is broken. I am so sorry for the Cooney Family. Even more sorry to the little princess, Kita. She had such a perfect home and life to loose it all too soon. What a shame.

Dear Cooney Family,

So sorry for your loss. May Kita live forever in the memories that you keep.

Prayer for a Sick Pet

Lord take this pet if it be your will
she's so young and small and she's oh so ill
Don't let her suffer we ask you please
take this little soul and set our mind at ease

Guide her to Heaven where she'll be at home
where with all the other animals; she can play and roam
Playing all day up in the meadows above
cradled in Your arms covered with Your love

With no more aches and no more pains
she'll play in bright sunshine no more rain
We'll see her again we know we will
so take her Lord if it be your will

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Shannon/Kita was a beautiful puppy and the first of the litter that I saw online. You are in my thoughts and prayers as well. She could not have had a better family then what was given to her. Those pictures just made me burst into tears.
In loving memory of Mitchell, 1992-January 22, 2006. He was a great friend, and I'm sorry he couldn't take the stress of this world any longer. We love you Mitchell. I just wish you would have talked with us before you made that decision

Sorry I didn't think of it before but could you
post my reply and the attached photos taken just last
week of Kita and myself. I can't adequately describe
the void that her loss has meant for our family. Kita
was truly one of us and we feel the loss deeply. My
wife told me today how much she meant to her on bad
days when a quick cuddle or bit of playtime would turn
her day around. I found myself on the kitchen before
and after work throwing squeeky toys and grabbing
quick cuddles.

Thank you one and all for your kind comments and
warm words of consideration. Kita was here for such
a short time but will stay in our hearts forever...

Paul

I'm still speechless about this. She was so beautiful, what a shame her life was cut so short. I still haven't stopped thinking about her since first seeing this post. My thoughts and prayers will continue for the Cooney's.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.
