Frank came to SCD on Wed. the 18th of May, out of another Humane Society. He is such a sweet boy, and just needed to find that special someone to call his own, Frank found that in Maricela Martinez from Tecumseh. We look forward to updates and pictures.

Congrads on your new boy. We look forward to updates.
It broke our heart to leave him at the other Humane Society when we were there Easter Sunday, but we personally, just didn't have the room for him. I'm so glad that you took this special boy. Since you are so close to Second Chance Dobes stop over any Sat./Sun. and show off your new guy to us.

Congrats Frank!!!

My husband and I were out there today and my husband fell in love with Frank- he couldn't believe it when I told him he had been adopted - broke my husbands heart (he wanted to go back and get him after we left). We are glad that he has a forever home though. I'm sure he will make a great addition to his new family.

Right ON!!!
You know, shepherds are a close second to dobe with me, as a kid and young teenager, my family had one, Girly, who lived to 13, and she was amazing!!! I am SO happy that Frank got his forever home, and so quickly, too!!
Congrats to Mari and family, and of course, to Frank!! May many years of happiness together bless your family! :)

Well everyone, it has been three days now that Frankey has been in our home, and let me tell you what a joy it has been for us... well, not all of us. Lisa (aka Crusty), Emmy, and Nemo are not very happy kitties now that big ol' Frank is bounding around the house. They're alright when he is in his crate, but if he's out, forget it! We keep an eye on him quite a bit, but he's a good boy and doesn't chase TOO much! :) When he's not "playing" with kitties, he loves to look at his reflection in the glass in front of the fireplace or lay around, fully stretched, on the floor.

He and I took a ride yesterday to get his lisence, and afterwards we went through the car wash, which he absolutely LOVED!!! He bounced around the back seat, tail a-waggin', tongue floppin' everywhere, staring out the windows and loving every minute! :P

This boy sheds like you wouldn't believe (or maybe you would?) so I went to Petco today and bought him a brush... I am now a Petco P.A.L! :) And you know I just HAD to get him an engraved nametag on my way out... how clever of them to put those machines riiiiight by the exit. I'm such a sucker for my boy!

Thank you Arda and everyone at SCD for taking this guy in. I am sooo so happy to have him!

WOW! What a lucky guy Frank is to have you as his owner. Thank you so much for posting this happy ending update. By the sounds of it, we're certain that Frank will be spoiled rotten, as all dogs deserve to be. Congratulations and don't forget to check in every so often with more updates pn how everyone is doing. I am not sure if you are aware of this or not but it's a requirement that you post pictures on this site! :)

The embedded collars in his neck when we got him and he goes back and extends the gentle paw to the human race. One heck of a dog.
