The Ostrom's from Okemos, have decided to adopt our "little" Apollo. Apollo is such a happy, and playful boy. We wish them all the very best. Apollo will have a big brother to show him how to become the obedient boy we all know he has the potential to become.
Thank You for opening your heart and home to this guy. We love to hear stories and see pictures as he grows into those ears and paws. Apollo, will always have a special part of our hearts.
Kevin & Kathye

The Ostrom's have five Shepherds awaiting them at the bridge.

I just e-mailed them the link. This couple knows Shepherds like Arda knows Dobes. They are experienced dog trainers, so I figure they may be able to help some us out with their methods also.

Kevin, stop pouting. There are many more to rescue and I just felt they would do the best for Appollo. Their app sounded almost desperate to me and nobody with that back ground should be without a dog of their choice. Yes, I want Sassy to have a home too but this was the best we could do for Apollo. My heart and love go out to these people. The Swamp Mama

I stopped pouting but I keep picking on Kath. I keep telling her about how you and her went and brought back Frank, within 4 days you two adopt him out, I find this one last wed. and by Mon. you two have conspired to adopt him out.

I agree, This is the best family for this guy. I'm still aloud to pout though. :)

Congratulations, Apollo. The two "boys" are just gorgeous together. What a great match for all concerned. My heart goes out to you, Kevin. I can only imagine how difficult it can be to let them go. But, it sounds like he has a wonderful home, with an older brother to show him the way. I hope they keep in touch and post pictures as he matures.

These dogs are just beautiful, and I'm so happy that Apollo went to a home that's experienced with shepherds, and will know the ways and means to make him the best boy that he can be!!!
I'm so happy!!! I can't believe the amounts of adoptions this weekend!! This is just fantastic!! :P

Congratulations to Apollo and his new family, complete with a big furbrother to teach him the ways!! :)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Sorry, Swamp Mama... but Kev, I know how you feel. Everytime Arda and I arrange for me to foster a dog (like I was supposed to take Dozer on Saturday), she goes and adopts them out before I get there to take them home!!! :) :P So pout all you want, and you can always have dinner at my house!!!

Congrats to Apollo and his new family!!!

Hi Kathye
I thought you might like a quick update. We decided to
call Apollo, Togo after a famous Iditerod (sp?) sled
dog.
Togo gets new experiences every day. A short walk on
the street so that he can get used to cars (likes to
chase and bark at them) or a short trip to the pet
store to visit with people and socialize. He has a
very deep bark and I want for him to be secure and
confident so he is quiet around people and other dogs.

Koz still is unsure about this whole thing. I guess
changes are hard to get used to. Our hope and
expectation is that Koz will grow to like this new
friend.

Thanks Kathye. I will send pictures soon.

Given time, I'm sure Koz and Togo will grow to be "Best Buds." :)

Toga! Toga! Toga! Oh I mean Togo :P is such an awesome looking dog. I just can't wait to see how big he gets. If I didn't already have our two dogs I would have definitely wanted to adopt him. I wish you you guys the best of luck with him. It may take a while for them to accept each other but when it happens, most of the time, they become the best of friends (I'm sure you guys already know this, I'm just rambling :P ). I once had two animals that didn't accept each other for weeks and it was a living He$$ (I will save that for another thread). I'm so excited for him and can't wait for more updates on him. :) Congratulations again!!!

Larry
