OMG, blue eggs? That is so cool. What do the chickens look like? I have to google them. My brother has Rhode Island Reds. They just lay plain ole' brown eggs.

It matters to the one you save.

WOW! In my younger days I'd kill for those eggs. I could do works of art with those eggs. I've seen the green eggs but that's the first time I've seen blue eggs.

He's blind. He can't even see a crate sitting in front of the kennel door. He will never notice Lavender chickens in his pen.

I think Arda should get some of these chickens, she could sell the eggs and make some money! Can't you see the sign at the road:

For Sale: Blue Chicken Eggs
Inquire Within
Ignore the pack of Dobermans

Here they are :P ...and they definately have a purple hue to them already at 8 weeks. Because this is a doberman forum, I'll include the pic of Ruby "mothering" her new babies. I would have believed that Chyna would do that, but Ruby?! Whenever they chirp, she is very concerned about them and wants them right between her front legs.

Can't you tell how mean a doberman is by your pictures.

They are cute, love the pictures. Your dogs are real sweet and kind. You wouldn't think
they would watch over the chicks. Just beautiful! :P

These three are the best of friends. The purple ones are the ameraucanas that lay blue, and the bigger one is what's called an Easter Egger because they can lay an array of beautifully colored eggs including cream, green, blue, and even pink. They are genetically related to the ameraucanas but are all around mutts. This one I bought for a birthday present for myself and she started laying green eggs yesterday. I used it for pancakes this morning or else you'd have a picture.

These girls are silkies, and they stole the fertile eggs from the ameraucanas and are now determined to hatch them. They get off the nest for only a few minutes each day to take care of business. Not even sure if the eggs are fertile, but we'll find out in 22 days :sorcerer:
