Nikki was adopted today!!!!

I'm waiting for Arda to get back to me on who adopted her, but couldn't wait to post then.
This girl sat in shelters/rescues for over a year patiently awaiting a forever home, She deserves it. I transported her a couple times and she was such a easy going loving girl. We wish her and her new family many years of happiness.

I was there and let me tell you... I have never seen such a display of mutual affection! There was Nikki holding the leash in her mouth and handing it to her new family (and it wasn't attached to her collar). Then the family member would take her for a walk while she held the leash in her mouth. I couldn't believe my eyes!

It was a wonderous sight to behold, all of them together. And me with no camera as usual.

Here's hoping she has found her absolute forever home. It sure looked good from where I was standing!! Way to go Nikki and family!!!

Eileen and Joshua Peck of Ypsilanti opened their hearts to our little Nikki. They have a heartbroken boy dog at home that recently lost his girl and really needed a new companion. They took Nikki home to see if she would be happy there, and from what I'm reading, she may just be staying

She'll have to human siblings to love on as well. This is truly a happy ending to a long journey for Nikki
