Here is the story behind how Savannah became Simon. I had been telling Jen for a couple years that I really wanted to get a dog. We were renting at the time and weren't allowed pets. When we bought our home I turned up the heat on wanting a dog. For two years Jen was receiving dog toys in her Christmas stocking. I had picked out the name Simon for our future dog. She thought I was crazy because I would go around the house calling Simon. It probably was crazy because we didn't even have a dog yet. I told her I was just practicing and wanted to make sure the name sounded ok. So when we came to visit and met Savannah I couldn't help myself. We are so in love with Simon. Altough I have to do some explaining every now and then when people ask how HER name is Simon.
