I got the girls home and here's a pic already..!!!! My son fell in love with both of them and has been grinning all day......Thank You Arda !!!! Our whole family has already been here to meet them and love on the girls. We are going to change their names as soon as we get to know their individual personalities and quirks. It feels so good to hear them running through the house and wherever I am, they are...!!! It's wonderful.

This just brings a tear (many) to my eyes :icon12: . Those girls have been through a lot being strays and really deserve a place to call home and their own people to love and protect. Thank you Lori and family for opening your heart and home to these two very deserving girls.

These 2 girls are soooooo bonded together it amazes me. I took Daisy out on the leash for less than 5 minutes and I could hear Clover in the house crying for her. When I brought Daisy back in Clover jumped around like she hadn't seen her in a week. It made me happy and broke my heart at the same time. On the way home Clover just about gagged us out of the car farting away REALLY stinky ones....lolol My grandson {he's 11} said we should name her Nova, because it is the name for gaseous clouds in space that are poisonous. It is a nice name and only those of us who live with her and you guys on the forum will know it's because she's tooting away all the time. lolol And she is still poofing up the air around us right now.
My sister keeps calling Daisy "Ghost". It's what they used to call me years ago because I am super pale too, and always get sunburn. She says Daisy knows her name is Ghost already because she runs to my sister when she calls her that name. But it's really because of the beggin strip treat she is holding in her hand....
I was kind of worried about adopting an 8 year old , given that my Sarah was only 8 when I lost her. Once I met her and she looked at me with those beautiful Dobe eyes and put her head in my lap for scritches I was hooked. My only worry now is that when she does move on that Clover/Nova will be beyond normal grief. I will right away bring her to Arda to pick herself a partner to come home with us.
This may sound strange, but it feels so "right" in my house now. I am so happy and content it is unreal...!!!!! Once the girls see that this is their forever home I am sure they will be happy and content too.
{{{hugs to Arda and everyone at SCD}}}

This update makes Jackie and my week end so worth while. We love these girls but they really need their own home and their own people. Thank you Lori. Very much for giving them a second chance.

Congratulations Lori, Daisy, & Clover. :icon12: It's so great to hear such a happy update. The girls are such sweethearts and I am soooooo glad they found a home together. Thank you so much for giving our girls a home and for opening your heart to a senior despite your recent pain. They're such good girls, I can't wait to hear stories and see more pictures of them in their new home. Here is a picture from your adoption today.

Lori -

Thank you for adopting Daisy and Clover a/k/a Ghost and Nova. It is so wonderful that they can stay together. This is truly a Rags-to-Riches story: Homeless, running the streets, now at the Ritz, enjoying love and happiness. Life the way it should be!!

Seniors rule!! Betty was 7 when I adopted her, and she just passed away this March at 12 1/2. I had to LOL when I read how your grandson picked the name Nova. Hilarious. I know these girls will give you many years of joy :icon12: :icon12:

Keep those photos coming!

Good morning everyone...! I don't know if there is a limit on pics, but I have a TON of them....lololol These girls are so wonderful. They fit into life here almost seamlessly, it is amazing ! And here I was a little worried about Nova being somewhat bossy being a Red girl....{well she is a little on the bossy side, but I am more so, and she sort of gets in a snit about it...lol}
