Thanks Daisy! I didn't want to try - I wanted to see them - but I don't know if I can get down for both. I'll have to see. Tux is a little nervy still. Next year we'll try.

Everything sounded real good until the part about the gunshot. Princess would flunk out real quick after that.

I looked into all this stuff before I adopted. One of the most frustrating things about owning a mix is that most doors are closed to you. At least here in Canada we can do Rally and Agility. I know in the US Rally is only open to purebreds. :icon12: Wes has worked so hard and we're doing stuff in class that would be getting us ready for CDX and UD - but we can't even try for our CD because he's of mixed heritage. :ermm:

It's just hard when you have a dog that can do so much - so I wanted to make sure I knew about every opportunity that was open to me when I adopted Tux.

What about ADPT??? I know my friend Holly does all kinds of competitions with them and I don't think most of her dogs are pureblooded... Ask her on Sunday at class!!! because I know she competes agility and rally? and won't compete through AKC events...

That's neat!! Here in Canada we can do Rally and Agility. So I have those options open. :icon12: I thought I read at the Detroit show that Rally was an AKC event. My apologies for the confusion.

Rally-O isn't really big yet ... but I'm hoping over the next couple years it will get bigger. :ermm:

Hi Daisy - the WAE Test will be on Aug 14, right? I'd like to see this. Hey, do you recommend I bring Ms. Cocoa with me or should I come without her? I'm just wondering because I don't want her to be a distraction to the other dogs.

The WAE test is on Sat 13th at the same place. Starts about 9 am..
We are doing a Dobe conformation/Obedience match & CGC
on sunday.
It would be too hard to have all the events on same day/place.
The WAE is set up in field as a course you walk & is spread out
in a large area.
Both will be good days to see some good dobes doing stuff...

Hi Daisy,

If I want to see everything that is going on Sunday, what time should I plan on arriving? Also, will there be signs once you get to the park directing you where to go?

The Obedience starts at about 9:30 am, CGC testing is 10 am &
conformation is 1 pm after Obedience is done...
We will probably have BBQ lunch between the obed & conformation
judging around 12 noon if we can...
The lake is so nice for playing with the dogs, afew of us went sunday,
just to eat lunch & let the dogs/kids play in lake...
OH, the park admission fee is $6 unless you have a yearly pass.
Hope to see you then...

HOPE TO SEE ALOT OF PEOPLE THERE :D :D

Hi Daisy!!

What is exactly defined as too exuberant? If someone pets Wes, he'll get all wiggly. He won't jump but he is a bit of a "leaner".

He's your typical "I love everyone" lab.

Thanks!
Stef
