Jane and Peanut just don't realize how we all need that boost they give us.  The laugh for the day.  The good home for a good girl.  The Good Story that the world isn't all bad.  We need that little lift to get us up and going.  Thank you Peanut for being the perfect antidote.

Do you mind if I talk to you for a second?

Let's go over there, it will be more comfortable.

That's better.  Well, let me see.... today ... we went for a walk for an hour and a half.  About one hour into it the rain started to come down.  I didn't mind it so much at first because I kind of like the rain ...it cools things off, ya know?  Anyway, then it started to rain cats and dogs which would not have been so bad if there had really been cats or dogs, but to me it was just a lot of water....

Did Mom have her umbrella?

No, she normally straps that umbrella on her fanny pack on cloudy days, but today she forgot so we both got soaked to the skin.  I didn't even go into the river to cool down after my walk because what was the point?

So was your walk ruined then .....

No, it was AWESOME!

*Bark*  *Bark*  *Bark*

Peanut, you barked at your Dad??

It's me, Peanut, don't you recognize me?

*bark?*

What in the world are you doing coming in the back door?  I don't know if I have ever seen you come in the back door.  I am usually with you.  How did you get to the store without me?  How did you get out of the house unnoticed?  What is going on here?????  Are we off our schedule?????    AAAAAAAAAaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!??????

*oof*

I protest.

  Whadja bring me?

Look I found a 19 squeaker toy for 75% off!

*squeak* *squeak* *squeak*

Peanut's Ponderings:  *squeak*  is music to my ears, nineteen "squeaks" will be music to theirs.

No, dummy.  I's Peanut talking to her friend, Big Bird.  All of us understand.

I love Peanut!  What a character!

The embedded collars in his neck when we got him and he goes back and extends the gentle paw to the human race. One heck of a dog.

She really is a dollie.  Only Jane can make dollies out of Dobermanns.  You have to know that I never worry about a dog when it goes into Jane and Larry's hands.  They treat them like they are a gift from God and not the trash on the street.  And dog in their care is a lucky dog.
