Keep us posted on his sore, though.  Poor guy!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

He's not a poor guy! He's got it made here with puffy and I. He was such a good boy at the vet this morning. He didn't go nuts at the kittens that are loose in the lobby. He made friends with all the staff and a big male Dobe who walked in at the same time as we did. Val gave him a kiss. It was so cute.

Val's sore is just a bad infection. I have to give him Cephalexin and put Tritop on it just before we go out for our walk, otherwise, he licks it off. If the sore does not heal, the vet is going to surgically remove it just to be safe.

Everyone at the office fell in love with Valentino. I can't imagine why. :flower: That' my boy! :D

Took Val to the vet today for his follow up appt and his sore is almost completely healed. I still have to give him the Cephalexin and put Tritop on it.

The doc took Val into the back area because he loves to walk around and say "Hi" to everyone. :flower: He's a favorite there, that's for sure!

I have to laugh everytime I think of Valentino. I think of the "Lucky Dog" commercial. He's happy go lucky and one lucky dog.

Cheryl; It's your ability to make them Happy Dogs that makes your pack so great. I would never guess that Val could come this far. You have a thumbs up from me. Great job, great pack. You make me cry happy tears.

My buddy is scheduled for a dental tomorrow. He had his yearly check up last Thursday and I had the doc check out one of his teeth because it looks really bad. The doc said he has gingivitis, an exposed root and a receding gumline. He may have to have this tooth extracted. It's on the lower right, same side that Dr. Karen extracted all but one of his upper teeth. His senior blood profile came back fine so he's healthy enough to have the surgery. :D

Tango had to have her teeth cleaned when she was a really old dog. She felt GREAT after it was done. All the redness in her gums went away and it gave her a new lease on life. Good luck to Val!
