Terry & Beth came out yesterday to meet some of the kids. They had a sweet Dober boy named Roman that they lost after almost 10 years together. When their hearts had healed and they began to look for another dog, of course it had to be a Dobe. As we all know, once you have a Doberman it's hard not to have a Doberman. :D

Our beautiful Ruby was adopted out when she was just a year old. She was returned to us at age 5 because her owner remarried and the new husbands' dog and Ruby did not get along. Poor Ruby was the one to go. When Terry & Beth met her they saw what a sweet girl she is, and it was a match! We're so happy to see Ruby as a beloved family member. Thank you Terry & Beth for opening your home and hearts to one of our kids. We hope you have years of happiness together! :flower:

And thank you to SCD for always, always being there for the dogs that come through your organization, even if it's many years later!

Ruby has now filled the hole in my heart that was left after our big boy Roman passed.  She's going to be a great addition to our family!  We just can't wait until she settles in and shows use more of her personality.  She's having a bit of a rough start but we'll get her through it.  Terry

I sure hope you got her bathed before you let her on the carpet.  The kids have had a great time tearing up the yard and playing in the creek and pond.  She looks pretty comfy there.  I sure hope all is going OK with her.  She's a beautiful girl.  Gave us no problems here.  Please keep us updated.  We really want to know how they are doing.

Oh yes! Ruby has been bathed (twice!) and her nails have been clipped and her ears have been cleaned and all of her boo-boo's treated! She just sits there and takes it all! Every pill, every clip, every wash.... What a good girl!

She truly is the sweetest of girls. She never wants to be further than about 5 feet from Terry or me! After Roman, I really didn't think that any dog could be MORE of a LOVE SPONGE, but I was wrong! Ruby is! The only negative that I can think of is that unfortunately, she is a bed-hog! HAHA!

Here is her "preferred position" with her pretty new pink collar!

Thank you everyone at Second Chance Dobes! We are very happy!

I think they ought to add Zoe just to keep the place alive.  LOL!  What a difference between those two.  Ruby is the sweetest.

I don't think so Arda! :Tounge:
