DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit Police are investigating a possible dog fighting ring.
Early Monday morning, an officer spotted a man walking down the street with an injured dog in his arms. When the officer approached him, the man ran into a home on Mt. Vernon.
Officers searched the house and discovered a dog fighting ring in the basement. More than a dozen dogs were seized. Nine people were arrested.

The embedded collars in his neck when we got him and he goes back and extends the gentle paw to the human race. One heck of a dog.

Channel 4 had the story on too. They got 16 pitbulls,
about 8 are pups under 6 mons old, they carried them
out in crates. Said they were very thin.. Could see some
of the adults had scars on their face from fights.. So Sad

And do you know that Vick will be up for parole soon and probably be playing football again next year. It hurts my heart to see what they do with these dogs

Dogs don't know about beginnings, and they don't speculate on matters that occurred before their time.
Dogs also don't know-or at least don't accept-the concept of death.
With no concept of beginnings or endings, dogs probably don't know that for people, having a dog as a life companion provides a streak of light between two eternities of darkness

put to sleep as the Humane society/animal control dont
adopt out pits & dont consitter them adoptable since they
came from a fighting ring:(
Yea, Michael Vick is trying to get out early & is going back
to football, no team should touch him, but they will as hes
a good player & had a big contract..

Poor dears. If only the ones that could be rehabilitated would be sent to the pitbull rescues here in Canada.
We have a province ban (in Ontario) but they could have been sent to Quebec.
Disgusting people...not bad people, they are evil people. I try to not be mean, but Vick is horrid and makes me sick, a disgrace.

Some of those dogs were bait dogs. They don't fight, they just get attacked. They aren't viscious. That's why they become "bait".
