Hello!   I'm Motley's mom!

Recently he has gotten a few warts in his mouth.  I have read about the Viral Papillomas.  I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this??  The vet took the first one off but I just noticed a new one today.   Looking at the pictures online scared me ;)  Most are the worst case scenario where they are everywhere.

This is probably what is going on with Mr Chatterly.  I started reading anout it and I think I will try the Nsyms (sp) that the ad advertises and see if it helps.  I have had him on Baytril for quit a while.  This old boy was quit a mess when he came in here.  Is is much better shape but I'd like to try this to see if it would help.  What are you using for Motley?

I just noticed the new ones on saturday so I have not put him on anything yet.   Was going to check with the vet this week to see what they recommend.

Please let us know what your vet recommends.

My vet indicated that as long as its not a severe case to just let his immune system fight it.  It will eventually clear up on its own.  She said they have antibiotics but they are really expensive and they will not clear it up much faster.   So over the last month we have been keeping an eye on it and have noticed more growing but also that some are falling off.  They don't bother him to much!

Both our pups got warts when they starting going to daycare. We kept them home since the warts are contagious. Our vet said that the warts would clear up on their own...and they did. Vet also said once they clear up, the pups will probably never get them again.

So, I guess as disgusting as the warts are, they should eventually go away.
