Today we celebrate 1 year with Marten! It's kind of like a birthday celebration in that he was born again when he came to live with us. While Marten was 49# when we adopted him, he now weighs in at 62#. His new nick name is Pork Chop because next to his Olive Oyl sister Heidi, he looks like a chunky monkey. But what's important is that Marten is happy. :innocent:

We told Arda and all when we got into the car with Marten one year ago today, that he wasn't coming back this time. He has been back to visit to meet his new sister Heidi, but he's found his forever home and I can assure you he's liking it here. Thanks again and again to everyone who makes SCD possible. We have two great examples of your fine efforts and loving dedication!

He also looks like a happy dog. I can't believe he is as good looking as he is. He has it made. A very good boy.

Happy Anniversary! Marten looks like such a sweetie. I think he hit the jackpot with his new family. I love hearing these success stories. Good luck in rally and obedience.
