I tell you, they will be there long before any of us.

The more people I meet the more I like my dog
"If a dog will not come to you after having looked you in the face, you should go home and examine your conscience"
-Woodrow Wilson
"Dogs love their friends and bite their enemies, quite unlike people, who are incapable of pure love and always have to mix love and hate in their object-relations."
-Sigmund Freud

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole. -Roger Caras

Well we know now what you mean about Martin being a speed racer but turns out he's a great car rider. It took an hour to get back to Royal Oak and he was great. He did destroy one empty water bottle and left a good deal of hair in the car. Now I can't keep him out of the car. If the door (or the trunk is open- he must we used to SUVs!) he's in there with a smile on his face. His first night he did not need to be crated but he would very much like to sleep on the bed. We're working on obedience, walking, staying, waiting until released to eat. He's been great at all of it. He seems to be very hungry and is a really fast eater. He gets a little wound up after his brief "cat" naps but he's getting plenty of exercise. I think he loves it here and he's been very affectionate. He just wants to be loved and we think we understand his personality. We took pictures on his arrival yesterday. We'll post some of those next time. Thanks to everyone for being so great yesterday even though we arrived in the middle of the reunion. It was a great weekend !! Jan and her family from Royal Oak came out Saturday and met Marten , our Marten is a very fast moving and smart boy and we were a little worried about finding him someone that could handle our little speedracer . Jan handled him with such ease and was a step ahead of Marten . He now has his forever home and wonderful family !! We wish them all the best and please keep in touch !!
Signed,
Martin and his new family.
