Well, it's been a long haul but he finally made it. From a mere 36 pounds a month and a half ago to a 60 pound and still growing pup. Renegade won the heart of Austin and Missy and is off to a new start and a second chance at making someone happy. There is no excuse for that kid to have been that thin except for no food and water. As soon as we started feeding him he started growing like a weed. Austin and Missy are going to have their hands full but they have a very beautiful boy, Good Luck to all of you. In the end it WILL be worth it.

How great a story. Best of luck to renegade and family

Renegade is doing great. I cannot believe how well he is doing. He honestly seems grateful to have a family of his own. Right now he is contentedly chewing on a rawhide after a brisk walk. He made it through the night in his new crate without a single complaint. We've been playing fetch all morning. His favorite spot is on his new doggy bed next to the couch. What an appetite!

I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

Thanks Arda and Jill!

It was rough weather getting home but he came through A OK. We visited Pet Smart today and had fun meeting new dogs and people. Our friends Mike and Mallory brought their Pit/Lab mix Jasmine over to play. Tonight was our first bath! Here's a few photos of the process. Well behaved and mannered the whole way through.

He did good with Jasmine. Jasmine is an old timer and took Renegades hyperness in stride.
I can't say he was thrilled to take a bath, but was calm as a cucumber. Don't know what more to ask for.
