Okay the story goes like this. Kathye and I are fostering a female beagle who was at the pound in Harrison.(Same place Arda's four circle dobes came from), she had been shot. She is now vetted and is awaiting her trip to her new home in the state of Virginia. There were a total of 7 people involved in the transport of her and two labs. The labs went to a new rescue in Jackson. We met at the mcdonalds on Zeeb road. During this time, while helping tie the labs into that rescuers blazer, I must have laid my keys down. After they were long gone I realized, Ms. No Name Beagle and I were in possession of a truck but we had NOOOOO keys. So out comes the phone (thank God for cell phones) and I have Kathye call Arda. The Swamp Mama Rescuer went to my house picked up the spare keys and Chris they drove out to rescue the rescuer! I knew she couldn't wait to get home to post this. I always make fun of rescuing her and the tractor, and I goof up even bigger!

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated ... I hold that, the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man.

Kevin, I made two key chains one for work keys and one for personal keys. I don't even take my work keys home anymore (that key chain is huge) I have a spot I hide them at work. I'm not too worried about anyone breaking into my tools at work, I have followed their rules about adding a lock bar and even if it did happen I would just make them buy me a new set anyway.

Well, one day I was meeting my girl friend for lunch over in the Penobscot Building. I had a transcript to deliver to an attorney located in the same building, so I figured I'd drop his off and then meet Nicole. I had my index finger through the ring, and was waiting for the elevator door to close and THE UNTHINKABLE HAPPENED. The keys slipped off my finger and - CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS - went down the shaft. They fell off, and I saw them on the floor, but I was powerless to get to them quickly enough before they descended into the abyss.
I immediately went to the guard station and told them my tale of woe. I learned that there was a sub floor below the elevators, and if I could just tell them which elevator it was, they could send someone to look for them.
I went to lunch, came back to the guard station and, as if my magic, this wonderful man had found my keys. I almost kissed him. I realized by having both sets together, not only could I not gain entrance to my office, I had no car keys to go home with!
So, I had to re-train myself to take out the work keys when I got to my office, and put the house keys in my purse, and repeat the task in reverse at the end of the day. I locked myself out of my office a couple of times, so I had a duplicate key made so I had one on EACH keyring.
Keys are definitely a problem
Kevin, I'm glad you found yours!
