We had to put our sweet boy Razor down this afternoon. He had been battling cancer for almost 2 years, but last summer he was diagnosed with DCM on top of the lymphoma. 2weeks ago we rushed him to the ER for tachycardia. He sort of recovered, but was in & out of the ER every couple days as they adjusted his meds. But then, on Sunday, he decided to stop eating. He couldn't even be enticed by steak, pumpkin, jerky...nothing.

We are a bit concerned about the girls, Rowan & Strasse. Rowan seems really depressed. Big Dog was her rock. When we brought her home from SCD, she was afraid of everything. But, Razor was there to protect her. Under his easy confidence, she slowly came out of her shell. And now, even our happy Strasse-girl (another SCD furkid) is a little down. She could really roughhouse with the big dog.

We did enjoy a nice evening snuggling with him by the fire before we took him in. Both girls even took turns snuggling the big dog last night. & I looked into his wonderful soulful eyes & told him I loved him...my first dobe.

I'm so sorry to hear that you have lost Razor.  It's such a sad thing for everyone in the family when we have to say good-bye to one of our dogs.  I feel for you guys, and for Rowan and Strasse, too.  I'm sure they will adjust, but it will take time.  It's too bad we don't have a way to explain to our dogs what happened to their friend who is no longer there.  I'm sure that Razor will be watching over everyone from the Rainbow Bridge.  Rest peacefully, Razor. :Rose:

This just breaks my heart along with everyone else. I'm so sorry for your great loss of Razor. It will take some time for you and his

sisters to get use to him not being at your side. But they will be alright they have you to love on them.Razor has a special place

in my heart, I was the one who picked him up for Arda. He will always be a true Legend to me. I was also with Arda when we Picked up Rowan from the small airport she came in on pilot for paws. She was such a little girl with her first class only passenger flight to us.

Razor showed you what a true doberman is. You loved him so much, and he gave you so much joy that you even rescued two more of Arda's  furkids.

Thank you so much for taking wonderful care of Razor, He loved you to the moon and back, and will be watching over you and his sisters. You gave him so much love and care, and even let him go to the bridge with love and comfort even with all the heart ache you had going on. Please take care it is going to take time. We all send hugs and our love.

Oh NO!  I'm so sorry for this loss.  It seems only yesterday that he came in here to us.  He's out of pain now and running free with all those others.  He's watching over you just as you are remembering him.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You gave him an amazing home and a family. Thank you. It's such a hard thing, and the other dogs will grieve too, just as you will. :Broken Heart: Run free Razor...
