Feel free to contact Nike, and tell them you will now buy Reebok's. I did. http://store.nike.co...us/#/contact-us

Thanks for the address to Nike. I just wrote them and sent it to say that they may now consider me a past customer, and I let them know how disappointed I am in their judgment. Yes, we are all allowed an opinion, but supporting this man that has no heart is exactly what is wrong with our society. Throwing a few apologies and a few dollar bills out into the community does not change a heart. We all need to be on our knees, praying for this country.

Nike: Vick not under contract

The company said it merely provided the Eagles' QB with shoes and gear, and that is all.
By Mike Jensen

Inquirer Staff Writer

Nike wanted to make this clear yesterday: The company is supplying Michael Vick with shoes and gear and apparel, nothing more.

Whether they sign a contract with him or not, they are willing to produce merchandise for him to profit from. Not ok with me.

On Wednesday, Michael Principe, the managing director of BEST, the agency that represents the quarterback, announced that Vick had a new deal with Nike during a panel discussion at the Sports Sponsorship Symposium in New York.

"He actually just became a Nike client," Principe said Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. "He has a new deal with Nike that we're all very pleased about."

He is getting his cut.

Thank you for posting the article Sarah. I didn't know he pled Not-Guilty to animal abuse, and the charge was dropped. He was only convicted of racketeering. And how absolutely horrible it is that little kids, with their parents' encouraging, are wearing dog masks at the football games, mocking the deaths of innocent dogs, in support of their idol-Vick. How many of them will become the future dog torturers? What a sick, sick world this is.

According to the Rescue Ink episode last Friday, Michael Vick's arrest and conviction have actually resulted in a marked increase of dog fighting since it is now "fashionable" in certain areas.

I was afraid of that. The more we address his character, the more attention he gets, and that brings in the groupies. And so it goes........

I have just read the article you posted, Sarah. There are no words to express the pain and sorrow I feel not only for Vick's dogs but for every dog who has, or will, suffer a similar fate. :chris:
