It is very adjustable so you can fit it properly. You turn it inside out to put it on, then flip the collar over so the prongs are against the dog and there is a adjustable strap to fit it properly, they are very nice and there is a "non prong" area in the middle so it never rubs on the throat area. I hope that helps, I am so poor at describing things. They do fit high up on the dogs neck area, if put on correctly, as with all prong collars, so many folks don't fit them right.

You are right and that is why they have to fit properly. There is an area in the
throat area that is non prong. Your not dense Lori,
 they are just hard to
explain, I think you did a good job explaining this Diana. I am not good
at describing either.

By the pictures on her website the prongs are on the front of the neck, under the chin. From what I've been taught, a prong collar is supposed to have the prongs on the back of the neck, with the ring for the leash on the front, under the chin. The martingale part of the collar wouldn't work correctly if it is under the chin.
Happiness is a decision.

I'm sorry if I am not explaining well, I am horrible with this. The prongs are pretty much like any normal prong collar, the only difference is, you turn this collar inside out to put it on, rather than un-hooking like a normal prong collar. Once the collar is on, turn it around so the prongs are against the dog, the clasp/loop to attach a leash is to the back like any other collar, prong or not. Between the clasp and collar is the adjusting area.
I guess these collars are like any other prong collar in the way it works, it is just the idea of the outer fabric hides the prongs and that is what people don't always like about the normal prong collar, is they look so mean.
