Our boy fought so hard and he was so brave. The DCM was making it so hard for him. We promised we would always protect him and today we did so for the last time. We let our boy go. Sarah & Joaquin, I'm literally in tears reading this. I've been reading about Buddy & his sibs for so long it just seemed like they would be around forever. He's a beautiful boy & so obviously loved. Take comfort knowing how happy his life was with you. You're in my thoughts.

My heart bleeds for you guys......I am so very sorry you are going through this. Buddy was a broken boy when you found him and you turned his life around to make him a noble, respectable dobermann. You were his everything. You were able to give him the gift of compassion from the day you opened your heart to him until the end. You are great parents. He'll surely be waiting for you at the Bridge, along with Paige . Do something fun today with the dobergirls to keep them busy.....maybe a nice, big vanilla ice cream cone in Buddy's honor. I should have worried more about the tumor in his mouth, but he lived with it. But cardio, we can't fight. What a horrible thing for all of us to have to fight with. He ran a great race. You did miracles with him. Hold him in that safe place in your heart.
