I just passed out flyers to my neighborhood and the sub across the street. Jared and I will be picking up bottles from these two subs Friday between 3 and 5. Can't wait to see hoe many people set their bottles out!

We have a stockpile of exotic beer bottles and cans growing in my dog room. It's really adding to the decor of the place and goes nicely with drywall dust. I might be able to talk my husband out of them. :)

It's a PIA returning the bottles...my husband is a brewer and LOVES microbrews. A lot of them can't be returned to most stores as the stores don't carry the product. darn him and his hobbies!! :glare: :P

The flyers are out so we can collect cans on Friday afternoon - I have also hit up Jared's football team to bring their empties to me Sat. Morning at practice! As far as your bottles that can't be returned Mandy - the party store I work at takes everything from everyone! You could always stop there before going to Arda's!!! Our distributors take off the wall things for them because we order big from them all! Just a thought!

OK Bonnie and I cleaned out the carosel building of all the cans and bottles.
Did everyone quit drinking? :sorcerer:

Alright I know Arda still has a couple bags of cans hidden somewhere
(probably under the pool table) we will get them one of these next days.

My Ford Escape was full today.
Thanks everybody for the cans and bottles and I will post a total for the reunion
can collection in the near future, if I ever get done!

THANK YOU SO MUCH

Bonnie and I have finally accomplished cashing in all the cans and bottles from the reunion, except maybe a couple bags Arda has in the house.
I think she drank the beer out of them and wants us to do the dirty work of turning the cans in.

We gave Arda $88 several weeks ago and will give her another $62.80 on Sunday if we can make it down to SCD.
I believe someone else cashed in $40 worth (thank you so much) that will give us a grand total of $ 190.80.

Also I know several of you did the dirty work and just sent money ( thank you even more) so it was a sucessful fund raiser.

Thank you to all who sacrificed and drank more beer for the fur kids.

If you are visiting SCD be sure to drop off your empties and we will take care of them.

O.K. I am resurrecting this thread because we have some projects at SCD that could use funding.
This was a good but not a great fund raiser at the reunion last year.
This time lets make it great!

We need anyone going to SCD to bring their refundable Mi. cans and bottles and drop them off.
Bonnie and I will see to it that they are cashed in and the proceeds go to improvements at the swamp.
If you don't feel like bagging them up we will accept cash. :sorcerer:

I know that all of you don't live in Mi, but if you have a deposit program in your state or country we will happily accept the cash.

Please, help the fur kids out, they really appreciate it.

Two-can-nite, I mean, twodognite

Nicole and Lorie took a bunch in a couple of weeks ago and we took in $50 and some loose change.

I am collecting the caps from bottles for my neighbor. She collects them for her school. If the caps can be removed and set aside for me, that would be great! I'll bring out a box the next time I come to put them in.

Do you mean the plastic caps, or the metal pull tabs?

I didn't know anybody saved the bottle caps. I'll save mine for you! How about the caps from water bottles?

I'm sure those will work too. There is a company that recycles the caps.
