This man died of natural causes, and it took almost a month for anyone to notice. His dog was sitting next to his body when they found her. She was half starved too.

We just got a pair from Ohio. Dumped. Male is older and has wobblers. I haven't taken him to Dr Karen yet as I know what she will say. He can't turn around in a crate. So I spent half the day trying to figure how to make a pen out of some small pen sides and the side of Pachino's. Started him on Glyco Flex and Rimadyl. He has one of those faces like why? and what's happening to me? I know I'm batting my head against a wall here but I read some of these articles and I just have to try something. Just because.......

What I was trying to say before the phone rang and I got sidetracked was that they give their all for their owners and yet the owners throw them away like yesterdays trash. I get so sick of the way they are treated. My thoughts go back to Kimmie. All she cared about was me. 100% commitment.

All you see, and all you go through, Arda, I can't pretend to comprehend. But when you are feeling down, think of all those that have forever homes, because you step in the gap for them.

That is why you do it. To give them the dignity old age deserves. To give Kimmi, Nina, Mamie, Emily and the many others the loving home they should have always had. To send them to homes where they are treasured more than gold and jewels. They are not the trash. Their owners are.

It matters to the one you save.

I love the picture too! And where were you looking? It's hard to find costumes large enough to fit our Dobes!
The embedded collars in his neck when we got him and he goes back and extends the gentle paw to the human race. One heck of a dog.

Target had hats for dogs. They had collars too, but the collars were way too little. The hats I can just sew on a longer piece of elastic to go under their chins. I want to think of something with the trio theme, 3 musketeers, 3 blind mice, etc.

I have a nice set of ghosts and I don't need costumes.

Dude, Darcy, and Liddy send you MANY thanks for stepping into their lives, Swamp Mama. Without you, they would have never known what it meant to be loved and cherished each and every day. :glare: :P
