for those who were at the reunion. remember the round circle on Princess's side. She was biting it all the time and the Dr. didn't know if it was another bullet or something else. Turned out it was a fatty tissue mass and he removed it last Wed. she is doing fine but has the no-bite and e-collar on all the time. she is not real happy. The Dr says it looks okay but I think it is too red. I'm not putting anything on it. just giving her pain pills.

What kind of a pain killer? Some of them are not good for Dobes.

You had me scared for a minute. Bad news with Deramax and Rimidyl. She'll be fine. Don't be worrying all day and night about her. She'll be fine. But you could give her an extra treat or two.

Nurse Karen doesnt' think it looks too red Ella....she's on antibiotics, but if you wanted to, you could clean it twice a day with peroxide  Hope she feels better soon!

one good thing is since she came home she has been eating like a pig. all the treats that are usually laying around are all gone as soon as they are put down. she always has dry food that she can nibble on when she wants to. it's gone as soon as it is put down. usually dry food last for two or three days. and her regular meal at night is gone as fast as it is put down. I have to watch or she will loose her girlish figure.

Thanks everyone. she is trying a new thing. with her e-collar and no-bite collars on she is stopped pretty much from biting. so now she is lifting her back leg and scratching it. She has the bottom part of it bleeding from that. I don't know if I should put a bandage on it or let the air heal it. If she is not watched every minute she scratches it. and I'm going to have to go to bed sometimes tonight.

Ella,
Melissa suggested to me putting a t-shirt on Buddy when he was chewing himself on his back. I think she did that for Raz when he hurt his side. Might be worth trying.

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU DEAR PRINCESS AND MOMMA ELLA
MARY

Dogs don't know about beginnings, and they don't speculate on matters that occurred before their time.
Dogs also don't know-or at least don't accept-the concept of death.
With no concept of beginnings or endings, dogs probably don't know that for people, having a dog as a life companion provides a streak of light between two eternities of darkness
