It was a cold weekend in January of 2004 that we travelled to Michigan from Bowmanville Ontario. We had spoke to Arda previously and made arrangements to come and see her rescue dogs. There were so many but two in particular captured our hearts. They had just been rescued and at that time were named Dallas and Houston by Arda. They were brother and sister and very close to each other, they hopped into our truck and we knew that we would be taking both of them home. We renamed them Brandy and Blue. Blue was a Blue Dobe, very tall and very underfed, Brandy was black and tan, also tall and underfed. They quickly settled in and after a lot of TLC they reached their goal weights. Blue was 125lbs and Brandy was 100lbs. They were the most gentle, loyal loving dogs you could ever imagine. We have an acre of property that they loved to run in and could they ever run. Blue loved his bones and food and Brandy loved her stuffed animals, catching squirrels and cuddling. Blue had a medical problem called Von Willibrands which meant he was a bleeder but other than that he was a big healthy boy until June of 2010 when he was diagnosed with bone cancer. We had Blue with us for another 11 months before it was his time. We lost him in May of 2011. The following year Brandy developed a large mass in her chest and the cancer had spread. We lost Brandy in October of 2012. The loss of each of them broke our hearts and we miss them everyday. We want to thank Arda for the wonderful work she does and for giving us the opportunity of experiencing our beautiful babies. We were amazed at how dedicated she is and believe that she is a true hero.

Regards....Brenda & John Caverly

Brenda and John, I am so deeply sorry to read this.
Just remember they are not really gone.....they are locked
in your hearts......FOREVER AND EVER, nothing can change that.

Yes, Arda is a hero, but then so are you. I can tell these
two had a wonderful LOVING LIFE WITH YOU, when you gave them
a home was the "first day of their life". We never forget
them........."we carry their hearts in our heart"

Thank you for giving these two a GRAND LOVING HOME, I can
see how much you loved them.................and I KNOW THEY
LOVED YOU......

GOD BLESS

I am so sorry that you lost them. I know you must have given the best home ever. They got to stay together and that was so important to me. God bless and may they run forever free in the other place. They will be waiting at the bridge and I will see them soon.

I am so sorry for your loss. How wonderful you took the two of them and gave them such a wonderful life. Arda is a hero to us all but especially to the homeless dobes who find their way to her. Linda
