I know that feeling. I was never a dog person until we got our April. she was beautiful, intelligent and l've never know a love so loyal and true. We lost her just a couple weeks ago , 9/3/15, to heart disease. She was 6 1/2 and had always been very healthy. Our Husky was heartbroken to lose her friend and we recently adopted Keno for 2nd chance. He's a great dog and we love him already. This is a picture of our beloved girl. May she fly with the angels.

She was beautiful. It's so hard to lose them, but what kind of life is it without a dog? They bring us so much joy. They are unwavering companions and they give such pure friendship, with no conditions. I'm so happy for Keno, and for you as well. Really the only thing that can bring you as much joy as a Doberman, is another Doberman. 
It matters to the one you save.

Thank you both. I understand your pain all too well. She truly was my baby girl also and I know they are flying with the angels. 3 weeks tomorrow without her an in some ways it feels like so much longer. I also can't wait for the day I get to see her beautiful face again. May God keep your soul at peace and may we spoil the heck outta the ones we have now
