I know I get paranoid and I contemplated even posting anything about this......but just for my own peace of mind, I'm going to.

Over the last few days, I've noticed a really hard stationary 'bump' on Kenny's spine. It's located right between his hips. If you rub your hand down his back, it is VERY noticable. It doesn't move around at all. I can poke it, pinch it, and push on it and it does NOT appear to be painful at all to him. Vertically on each side, it feels like there are two other 'bumps' or bones which are too high up to be his hip bones. It just feels really weird and I don't feel anything like it on Akina. It almost feels like one of his vertebrae's are out of place...but he shows no sign of discomfort.

He's in great spirits, doesn't appear to be in any pain, and runs around like a banshee. I have just never noticed this before and it's raising concerns with me. Do you think it's possible that it's just how his bone structure is from his malnurishment as a puppy??

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

Has this always been there or did it just appear?

Well, I've never noticed it before. It's very stationary, I can't wiggle it around at all and it is hard as bone. It's reminds me of how it feels by touch if you have a slipped a disk or have a 'protruding' vertebrae.

UPDATE**

Ok, well, I'm not sure what it was...but it seems to be back to the way it's supposed to be. I wonder if maybe he bumped something or if Akina wallopped him...I don't feel the bump on him anymore. That part of his spine does feel a little different than the rest, but it's not as profound as it was this morning. I'll keep an eye on him to see if it ever happens again.
