Dean and Kim were looking for a buddy for their rescued dober-boy, Rommel. They came out today to meet some of the kids and see if they could find a match. Well Ozzie showed off his best manners and won them over. Ozzie had a rough start, but he is going to be living the good life now, with a big yard, a comfy bed in a warm house, and most importantly, a family that loves him. Congratulations to the whole family. We hope these boys fill your home with fun and laughter for years to come.

We renamed Ozzie and his new name is Panzer which complements "Rommel" well. He sure is a curious boy and is already trained not to enter the kitchen. He loves to slug out (who doesn't!?) and really enjoys the dog toys that used to sit in a box. I'm training him on my underground/hidden fence daily and he's coming along very well. He sure has an appetite and I'm trying to fatten him up a bit, he could use 10 or so lbs. He has such a sweet and lovable disposition you can't help but hug on him!

I want to thank everyone at SCDs for allowing me to adopt him. He's definitely in his forever home and will be treated like a king. I'll get photos up very soon!

Thanks so much for the update on Panzer. I'm glad he is learning the house rules so quickly. Hopefully his stomach will settle down in a few days. I can't wait to see some pictures of him and Rommel. Welcome to the board!

We decided to alter Ozzie's name one more time since we were all messing it up. We all agreed to permanently name him Patton (after General George Patton). As we all know from our history General George S. Patton and Field Marshal Erwin Rommel were gentleman soldiers and foes from WWII. While my dogs aren't out to eliminate each other there's a subtle mutual respect for one another and they're getting closer by the day.

What a handsome guy!! My brother's Dobe was named Rommel. Panzer is so apropros. Congratulations to Ozzie a/k/a Panzer. Thank you, Dean and Kim, for giving this much deserving boy his "forever home." Pictures, please!
