I have a Doberman package deal up for auction. It consists of a pin, book, bookmark, and a secret item.
Thank you ohiodobe (Linda, Bella, and Mr. Z) for donating this pin to raise money for SCD. It is approximately 2" X 2". I'm not sure what it is made of, possibly wood?, it is very lightweight. It says 'Made in Mexico' on the back. (The white marks on the front of it are from the flash).

I don't remember who donated the bookmark. It is made of cardstock inside a vinyl sleeve. It has a green iridescent ribbon on the top. It is 2 3/4" X 8 1/2", not including the ribbon.

There is also a 4th item that will remain a secret, it will only be revealed to the winner of the auction when they open the package.
This auction will end on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 5pm. Your winning bid will include the shipping costs. The auction package will be mailed to the winner, as soon as I have confirmation of payment received. All of the money goes to Second Chance Dobes.

That's a beautiful little book. Like a dog's diary. And I think the book mark was from Ilene's Collection.

I think you are right. And I think the book mark was from Ilene's Collection.
For those of you who don't know who Ilene Moore is....Back in Dec. 2010, Ilene Moore's brother brutally murdered her over a disputed inheritance. If that wasn't bad enough, he then disposed of her body in Kensington park. Some of you may remember reading about it in the paper, or hearing of it on the news. Ilene was a dog lover, and Dobe owner. She was a volunteer for Michigan Humane Society. After hearing the story of her tragic death, they released this statement to the press: "The Michigan Humane Society is devastated at the news of this tragic loss. Ilene was an extremely caring and dedicated longtime MHS volunteer and will be greatly missed. We extend our deepest condolences to her family."
Somebody close to Ilene, donated some of her Doberman collection to Second Chance Dobes. We have decided to put them up for auction to raise money for SCD. We think that Ilene would be happy knowing her treasured collectibles were going to benefit the Dobermans that are awaiting their forever homes.
If you are lucky enough to win this auction; please remember Ilene, and the love she had for our breed, when you use the bookmark.
Happiness is a decision.

Lori - Please let me open the bidding at $10. I really have a need for the little book. I'd like to make it into a book of instructions for an Alpha to run a Dobermann Rescue.

Because nobody had bid yet, I reconfigured the auction package. I replaced the original book with a different one, and added a secret bonus item. I will be bringing the original one to you Arda, the next time we are down. I expect you to actually write a book of instructions for an Alpha to run a Dobermann Rescue. I will nag you until it is done....I am looking forward to reading it!

Lori,
Just received the package & I love everything! "Doby" is sitting on my laptop cover & I think he'll stay there-he seems to like it. The bookmark is what I really wanted &, knowing the history, I'll cherish it. Thank you.
