We like to make a suggestion,
The dogfood that worked well with Darla was Tractor Supply's brand called 4 Health.
It's thier version or comparable of the brands such as Diamond and the others that are discussed here on this topic.
You're not paying the $$$.

Sorry disregard suggestion, had my head under my armpit did'nt read it all.

The problem as I am seeing it is that the food produced at the Gaston, SC manufacturing company is what is on recall. But the stuff from the other Diamond Companies is good. The stuff we are getting is coming from Missouri and it's codes are not on the recall list. I spent the afternoon going through the codes and they were all clean. So I brought home 10 bags and am adding a little mixer to it for next weeks feed. We use about 15 bags a week.

Good grief. Now Solid Gold is recalling their varieties that were made at the SC plant. No problems reported, just out of an abundance of caution. I think we are going to see more and more of these types of massive recalls as a result of manufacturing being consolidated into such a small number of plants that are producing possibly dozens of brands.

We love our dogs and want to take good care of them and feed them healthy products, but it is getting harder and harder all the time to trust any commercially produced dog food.

Currently part of my treasured family and helping to make life fun and busy:

Hunter, the chocolate Labradeagle (or Beaglador)

Terra, the tall, gorgeous red Doberwoman
