That's kinda odd isn't it? A choking hazard? What the heck could be in it to make them choke?

Maybe they weren't chopping up their "meat by-products" small enough.

Well, this changes my menu for a few days.

I read elsewhere there was some small pieces of plastic that got into a batch of the food. Don't know for sure if that is right though.

It matters to the one you save.

Gross! I was reading about "rendering" the stuff that goes into some pet foods and nearly barfed. They cook down all kinds of animals, animal parts, road kill, and in some cases, euthanized animals including the collars they have on! I don't know whether to believe it or not. It's covered under "animal proteins" and "bone meal".......again, GROSS. A few years back before I knew better, I grabbed the cat's dish to wash it out and found a very small jaw bone in the bottom of his dish after feeding him wet food. Even he wouldn't eat it. It looked to be from something the size of a rat. These days, my idea of wet food is a raw chicken leg quarter over their kibble.....at least I know where it came from.

It's no wonder I can't stand the smell of canned dog food. That is soooo disgusting!
