I always expected to have a Doberman in my life because Saffron was such a joy. Now I feel a little gun-shy. I know I'll turn to a Doberman Rescue again someday but I have a lot to process before I can do that.
I hope your dobergirl fairs well.

I'm so sorry to hear about Saffron. You are in my thoughts and prayers. You're right about every day being a gift when they have DCM. Princess is taking 12 pills a day. 6 in the morning and 6 at night before we go to bed. She is so good taking them. but they are keeping her alive and we just take one day at a time.

Dogs don't know about beginnings, and they don't speculate on matters that occurred before their time.
Dogs also don't know-or at least don't accept-the concept of death.
With no concept of beginnings or endings, dogs probably don't know that for people, having a dog as a life companion provides a streak of light between two eternities of darkness
