Cady will have a playmate in Cassie a black lab mix and Jazz the cat.
Thank You for opening your heart and home to this lovely young lady.
It was too dark tonight at the vets to get a Happy Ending picture, so we will just have to wait for updates.

What in the world are you doing coming in the back door? I don't know if I have ever seen you come in the back door. I am usually with you. How did you get to the store without me? How did you get out of the house unnoticed? What is going on here????? Are we off our schedule????? AAAAAAAAAaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!??????

Our family is so thrilled to have Cady! She really is a wonderful pup. She and Cassie have been getting along great these last few days. They play nicely and Cady is so SMART and well behaved. We are so thankful. This IS her forever home .
I will try to post a picture of them together later this week...

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated ... I hold that, the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man.

Just wanted to give you an update on Cady. She's as big as Cassie now (who is 2 1/2 yrs old!). She is 100% at home now and we get compliments everywhere we go...people tell us that she's so well behaved for being so young and that she is very beautiful. Of course you already knew all that.
I've had to keep a closer eye on her lately because she has started to hunt in our back yard...last week she killed a possum, mole and bird in one day! She has an amazing sense of smell and instantly runs to the shed, where I guess these critters like to hang. I just don't want her to get sick...so the entire family is making sure we know where in the yard she is at all times! She's fast, though...
Again, thank you for making our lives that much more happier!
Here's our cutie...

Any ideas or suggestions for my fence-climber?

So, yesterday we started the "distraction" phase...I had our neighbor walk into our property along the E-Fence perimeter...and neither girl crossed the boundary ---oh, they really wanted to, but they just barked & knew to stay. Unfortunately , when my neighbors golden retrievers were out later that day, Cassie ran through the boundary. She did realize it was a no-no and actually ran back in! I guess I'm just trying to do the right thing to keep the girls safe...I mean we've had 6 dogs stay over all at one time and it did not occur to ANY of them to climb over the fence. Now, Cady comes along, and climbs the fence, climbs trees too (as high as she can go). We'll see how things go.
I'm also attaching a couple of pics of the girls playing in the yard....Cassie LOVES the sprinkler...Cady just likes to swim! I'm also attaching a pic of Cady I took this week...a face you just can't resist.
Any ideas or suggestions for my fence-climber?

Sounds like your doing a great job with keeping the kids in the yard. Hope that E-fence works out for you.

Kenny's Mom: Thanks, I like the picture of Cassie too...she's like that every time she sees water. She thinks the sprinkler is for her ONLY! Kids get out of her way and off her property!! My brother took an amazing picture of his Pitt that would win a pet contest any day, though....it's hard to capture those moments because they are only there for seconds...but he did it...This is his dog, Chapulin (grasshopper in Spanish). He's such a gentle dog...
