It is with the heaviest heart I have ever felt...
that I write this...

I sit here .. wondering what to say.
No word can express the heart rentching pain in the loss of Doodgee.

Do I start when he came into our lives? Do I start with Arda/ all involved in his life from SCD? The history we know?

I never know what to say..
but this is one of the hardest things we have ever had to endure.

Doodgee passed to the Rainbow Bridge today.
Please say a little prayer for him.

Oh no! I'm so sorry Cath. I know how much Doodgee meant to you and Todd. Thank you for giving him the love and life he deserved. Run free Doodgee, run free......

Oh my God, Cathy I am so sorry. Hugs and love to you and your family. I am stunned. Mary

Dogs don't know about beginnings, and they don't speculate on matters that occurred before their time.
Dogs also don't know-or at least don't accept-the concept of death.
With no concept of beginnings or endings, dogs probably don't know that for people, having a dog as a life companion provides a streak of light between two eternities of darkness

I don't know quite what to say, Cathy. I know the pain that you are feeling. I know how special that doberboy was to you. I know nothing else can ever replace him or fill the place that he holds in your heart. He was the luckiest dobe on earth when he found you. No one would have loved him more or better. Please take care of yourself.

love coming at you,

What in the world are you doing coming in the back door?  I don't know if I have ever seen you come in the back door.  I am usually with you.  How did you get to the store without me?  How did you get out of the house unnoticed?  What is going on here?????  Are we off our schedule?????    AAAAAAAAAaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!??????

I protest.

  Whadja bring me?

This is one of those things you don't want to believe. It won't sink in for a while. I am so very sorry Cathy and Todd. Just know that you gave him a full life in the short time he had with you. God bless you for taking him in and letting him lead the life a dog should. You were his world.

As everyone else has already said - we are very sorry for the loss that you guys are feeling. Our thoughts are with you guys - all of you... Cathy, Todd, Suzz, and Gwenn. I know that your household will not be the same without Doodggee there. My heart aches for you and I wish I could ease your pain. Call me and I will come running...... to sit with you, talk with you, cry with you, whatever you may need.
