ok here we go, 6 months ago..... carnassial tooth on left upper jaw had pus bag on gum, say its abcessed, so we get it pulled paying big $$$. Prior, dog never had tooth problems, teeth are tartar free even at 10 yrs of age. No hair line crack, vet doesn't know why it got abcessed. Few months later a tumor appears on left side of face, below the eye, like taking a green pea and gluing it on... but it showed up real quick .... get it removed, they check it, not cancer....
Yesterday, wake up, dogs face swollen, lift up lips, pus bag on gum above carnassial tool on the "right" upper jaw.... ya gotta be kidding me.
.... I'm getting the feeling that the left tooth was not bad, nor is the right, but something else is creating this ..... the roots on these specific teeth extend up into the bone of the skull, resting just in front of animals eye (Google says) - is this coincidental, along with the pea like tumor that showed under the eye.
I've gotten Dixborough (Ann Arbor) mentioned to me as the place to go, or Michigan State Vet.? I've had plenty of dobes but not with teeth issues....... Anyone with a prior history of dog teeth issues?
Don't want to cough up more $, get the right side tooth pulled and then find out we got a bigger problem and it wasn't the teeth.... I need the most bang for my $ buck in finding the "root" cause.
Any bad experiences to not got to Michigan State or Dixborough ?
