I still don't think he'll get as soft as Yoshi is now. Wow, I could use Yoshi as a pillow.

Well, he had a good look, but now he's getting the pampered soft fur just like Yoshi! His hair is/was a little thin on the back - but after a few good shampoos he's doing better (i'm sure he just wore it off in the kennel like the rest of those guys.) I meant no offense to your top-notch care!

It's hard to resist snuggling his head as long as he remembers that my hair is not a chew toy! If Yoshi is a pillow, Ben is a queen size bed!

Maybe we'll try Ben and Yoshi next time? I'm not sure. After Leah and Yoshi's initial aggression to each other, I wonder if we shouldn't try them again, to see if they remember that they're good friends.
The more socialization the better. Ben does pretty good with Leah being energetic i'm sure he can handle Yoshi. Maybe it'll teach Yoshi that not all dogs are as energetic as him.

I can see, by the look in your eyes, that you are one happy boy living with your new family. Thanks for posting the birthday pictures.

Dogs don't know about beginnings, and they don't speculate on matters that occurred before their time.
Dogs also don't know-or at least don't accept-the concept of death.
With no concept of beginnings or endings, dogs probably don't know that for people, having a dog as a life companion provides a streak of light between two eternities of darkness

Yoshi is doing great, I swear he has grown since we got him. I need to weigh him to find out how much. He is loving life. He sure is a handful! But I wouldn't have him any other way. It's the nice quiet moments when he's behaving that he really shines, or playing fetch in the back yard. He loves all the new plants growing around the house and loves to eat them... We releveled our patio and he helped out by rolling around in the dirt. He swears it was to help level it out.
He has taken to his wireless fence amazingly. An entire track team ran by the house and he didn't try to out run them at all. Just barked at them to let them know whose neighborhood they're in.
After a very busy winter and busy start to the spring, we're finally going to start our official training in June. I can't wait to see what training can do for him.
I'll get some new pictures up soon. We sure do love him.
